I am thoroughly befudled at the contents of this post. What does it signify?

Of course, my good man. How did I not realize the definition of this comment sooner. This fine gentleman was simply venting to us about how a fellow on the interwebs was mistaken in thinking he was a long lost friend that had departed off of the internet to pursue other things in real life, and yours truly was the one who contacted the wronged individual in hopes of debunking this whole myth as just that. This is simply proof of our encounter and conversation in hopes of convincing any non-believers that he is, in fact, truly gone. However unfortunate it may be.
