Lore: following a Soviet win in a nuclear war at the end of the cold war there was an alien invasion of earth. The extra terrestrials lost. But they brought a plague with them that has a 43% mortality rate. Earth is in ruins. Radiation pockets hae created zombies as well. The earth has been plunged into a SECOND ice age which has made all of northern earth a snowy wasteland. Some of the cities in Canada and the us still operate but eastern Europe is in shambles.
