So to understand time travel we must understand how the reflow of time would work. So to understand that, we will look into the grandfather paradox. This paradox quickly disproves modern media interpretation of time travel. This paradox explains that if you go back in time and kill your grandfather, you will cease to exist from time because you were never born, but if you were never born you wouldn't've killed your grandfather, therefore it won't make sense. The most logical explanation is that whatever change you make by going to the past will branch off to a different timeline. But whatever change happens to the future will be kept in the same timeline branch. You cannot change what happens in the future because it never happened.

Another media misconception is the butterfly paradox, where it explains why traveling to the past is somehow taboo. The basis is small changes changed in the past will affect their present timeline. For example, if you stepped on a flower, if it were be the right flower it will affect a patch, if it were to be the right patch it will affect a forest, if it were to be the right forest it will affect a city, if it were the right city it would affect the world. The truth is, that's absolute complete bullshit considering the chances to be extremely, impossibly high for this to occur.

If time travel were to ever be possible, the number of timelines would be infinite due to infinite possibilities for the timelines to travel. Among those infinite timelines, is a seed timeline. Where nothing has changed due to it being the first timeline to gain time travel. Finding the seed world is like finding a needle in an infinitely large haystack.

I have a unique idea, to first understand time travel, you must understand teleportation. In my hypothesis on teleportation is that a device would take you from one place by using certain particle and put it in another. Perhaps a semi-ish wormhole will warp you to one place to another in the use of these mystery particles. The most likely candidate I thought of so far are neutrinos, or ghost particles. A neutrino is a fermion that interacts only via the weak interaction and gravity. The neutrino is so named because it is electrically neutral and because its rest mass is so small that it was long thought to be zero. If we travel along these particles we might access teleportation.

Great, we now have a teleporter. Now, if we also added a different part to the mix to speed up or slow down the teleportation, we can be able to do something like time travel. First, in order to go back in time we must use tachyons, which are theoretical particles that are faster than light. If light is practically the time barrier and is pseudo-infinity, we might be able to go backwards. If light can touch something instantly, tachyons can touch it faster than instantly. And the way to go forward in time is to use cosmic microwave background, which is the redshifted form of the same light that existed at the time of the big bang inflation. We are 13.8 billion years older to it, but it perceives no time and has no opinion on age. If we are able to use this, time can just snap right by as if we aren't even there, which we are not. I forgot to mention that neutrino-transmission would probably put us in a state where we exist but don't exist at the same time until we meet the destinated time or place.
