This taxidermied lion is from 1731 when King Frederick (the first) sent off his pet lion to be taxidermied in that year (1731). This is not what a taxidermied lion should look like. The image attached to this comment is what a taxidermied lion should look like (the picture also contains a taxidermied tiger). A taxidermy preserves animals and keeps their former glory but this lion had an error in the process. The picture proves that the lion had an error.
