The aftermath of the outer battle was horrible with Jacques' army having suffered 12 million casualties. The battle was everywhere in the papers. His army marched back to France -if they didn't go home along the way- to get sent home. Jacques was officially declared a saint on December 25th 1808 and had a house that was at the top of the Alps. From there he watched over earth.
He slowly became a myth more he lived. The battles against the blight were poorly documented since the loses didn't have any humans alive to document the details just adding onto the myth status.
