Go for a setting that’s out there.
Having a cold rural environment could introduce expansive snow sections that you can parkour through. You could have black ice on the road you need to look out for. You could have blizzards that might obstruct your long distance view. Then tie it all up with some outlaw racing story and snow police chases. Give it a dumb title like NFS Frostbite.
You might think those are terrible ideas but at least it’s something new to build on. It would definitely get attention for doing something different.
