Actually no! I've had a therian explain it to me! They think that in a past life they were a animal. They know their a human and act like humans, but believe that maybe once they were an animal

Furries are just chill. Therians actually think they're animals.

We are humans, furries act like animals. Goes against the nature of humanity

humans are animals
primates to be precise

We don’t act like that though. We have manners and great intellect, monkeys don’t. Humans have free will, no animal does
0 ups, 2mo
Well I was about to say that yojr first comment was false, but this one is even more false.
Animals have free will and social construct.
Our may be more familiar and more complex (as I'm aware?, but that doesn't mean that animals are dumb.
Oh also furries usually doesn't act as animal, or it's for the giggles (it's still kinda cringe but whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

yo wtf that's racist
0 ups, 2mo
LMFAO-
0 ups, 2mo
we do act like animals
because we are animals
any way we act is acting like animals
animals have free will
animals get to make choices, albeit with varying freedom (ex a woodpecker is more free than a drone bee)

Humans have free will yes
But in terms of intellect, we have no intellect
Other animals are actually incredibly smart, we're just an incredibly solipsistic and closed minded species.
2 ups, 2mo,

So you’re saying, wild animals are smarter than humans? I find that incredibly hard to believe, given that the smartest animal, like the octopus, is still dumber than a human
[deleted]

Pigs, for example, are much smarter than humans.
Pigs will know when they're about to be killed.

Cats, who adapted an entirely new mode of communication for humans to be able to give them the attention they desire/need. Excellent natural hunters.

Dogs, who first came from wolves because they knew humans would provide them with warmth and shelter if they did certain things.

Humans are incredibly stupid
And rather often tune out their senses
They rely on emotion rather than instinct
And this make them have rash decisions, which can endanger them.
Humans are greedy and self absorbed creatures.
A species that intentionally destroys the planet they live.

It’s not humanity that’s stupid, it’s the current generation of internet kids. Outside of the online world, people can be incredibly smart

They also said the same thing about the television raised kids way back a few generations ago.
2 ups, 2mo,

And where are those TV kids now? Probably homeless or something, idk since I have a great life outside the internet

Those TV kids are our elder generations, especially the Baby Boomers and Generation X.

Show some basic respect.
1 up, 2mo
Well, my parents and grandparents are incredibly smart. They never watched TV as kids, so it explains why they pursued knowledge so well

As for Generation Y, the typical parent generation of Gen Z

They were the computer generation, and similar was said about them too.

nah you got them mixed up with therians which are actually retarded
0 ups, 2mo,

This is basically your logic:

We like them = furry
We don’t like them = therian (supposedly different from furries, which is not the case)
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
that's not how equations work and therians are different from furries
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
What is the difference? They both consider themselves animals
0 ups, 2mo,

furries identify as furries. People with animal depictions of themselves.
Therians identify as animals other than human.

Saying that therians aren’t furries is like saying that homosexuals aren’t gay
0 ups, 2mo,

untrue statement
saying therians aren't furries is like saying Mexicans aren't the same as Spanish people
0 ups, 2mo,

Exactly. Therians are furries therefore, you just contradicted yourself
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
no
Mexicans aren't Spanish
and therians are not furries
0 ups, 2mo
Mexicans were organized and assimilated by the Spanish, if you know any history

man, you really are stupid

I could say the same about you
0 ups, 2mo,

well that's just a bad example
point is
two separate things
lightbulbs and candles
0 ups, 2mo
You just call all furries you don’t like therians, face it
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
that's not true either, as I respect both furries and therians.
0 ups, 2mo
and I respect neither.
0 ups, 2mo,
1 reply
ok
that's not relevant to your previous point
you went from trying to tell me that furries and therians are the same to telling me your opinion on them
0 ups, 2mo
You stated your opinion first, maybe you should watch the hypocrisy a bit.

Technology doesn't make you dumber. It's MISUSE of technology that makes you dumber. Technology is a resource when used as intended. Telling you things that the newspapers and books locally will not, and giving you information on other countries.

My parents are incredibly smart and gifted, and they did happen to watch TV as kids.
Technology enhanced my language skills, for example, when school was not able to provide enough supports for it. Most of the learning I've done was entirely independent from schooling

I know, tech stuff is very useful. But when all kids shows are just skibidi and cocomelon, it's no wonder why so many people in the western world have so much brainrot. It has gotten so bad that skibidi was even banned in Russia to prevent a mind-dead younger generation

It is simply the fault of the parents for letting children have access to such content at an age where they are heavily impressionable.

Parents may not have done enough research on how to parent so they simply give their children as everyone other parent seems to be doing. Parents may also have not been ready to have children - or they may have not been parented correctly themselves, so they avoid fixing their problems and spoil their children instead.

Not justifying any wrongdoings, but explaining their common existence patterns.

Libraries only have so many books on certain topics, and only so much information.

The education system is highly flawed in the USA (where I so happen to reside until adulthood), they tend to overlook a lot of events that historically would have significant standing. Constantly making themselves out to be saviors of the land, rather than rapists and murderers.
