A few weeks later after the horrors of Leipzig he was in a camp near Brussels. He was asleep until a snake appeared in his dream. "Hello Jacques, how are you feeling?" Subconsciously he responded with "well.. why do I KNOW this is a dream"
"this isn't a dream" the serpent said "this is a vision like the one Bertrand had back all those days ago.." still with that snake talking with a tone that sounded like poison for the mind "what's this one about..? Is it the blight again?" He asked "no. This is about you!" "What do you need?" "I need you to join me ja-" Jacques realizes this wasn't god or Jesus talking. This was Satan and he was trying to convince the officer to join the infection
Suddenly he woke up to his men yelling as there were zombies storming the camp with fire almost everywhere. Quickly he went for his flintlock and started shouting orders for his men to follow. "PUSH THEM OUT THROUGH THE WEST END AND DEFEND ALL OTHER POINTS!" yelled with his men following.
But in the flames he saw the serpent switching from Satan's face back and forth. He shook it off resuming firing his pistol. Then he saw something horrific. A giant zombie red eyes and a swollen left arm. Then he ordered the only cannon to fire but it was too late.. the east point had been overrun and a horde including the giant bolting towards the rest. Then and there he decided to say a prayer for his survival and ran towards one of the last horses in the camp who instantly calmed down upon his presence.
On the back of the horse he drew his blade and charged the rally of undead sinners who started running away from the horse riding officer who had no fear or regret to his act in the moment
As the hord ran off into the night one remained and that was the giant. He charged the beast from his horse and it gained fire at it's feet. He suddenly started climbing into the sky with the horse riding on a path of fire in the black sky.
He felt like his blade had gotten heavier and with one swing of the sword he had slain the beast. His men stood in awe of what happened as the giant fell to the ground with a crash.
