I'm atheistic, used to be Christian. I understand (mostly) both sides. If Big Man God really did make the world universe and everything as we know it, then it wouldn't really make sense why he would put so much meticulous detail into making things smaller than quarks for atoms instead of just making atoms. On the atheistic side of things, I don't really believe in God because my brain understands the science behind shit more than just accepting "oh yeah this guy said 'skedush you exist' and shit appeared." It'd also be hard to explain why God would make quantum mechanics, dark matter, shit like that. :3
