My personal idea for a gen 10 gimmick | ALRIGHT GUYS SO I'VE GOT AN IDEA FOR A GEN 10 GIMMICK AND IT'S ABOUT; ✨ COMBINING POKEMON MOVES ✨; SO LET ME EXPLAIN:; HOW THIS GIMMICK WORKS IS LIKE IN SCARLET AND VIOLET, VERY EARLY ON IN THE GAME YOU OBTAIN THIS ITEM WHICH IS CALLED MOVE COMBINER (I ALSO ACCEPT OTHER NAME IDEAS IN THE COMMENTS) AND WHAT IT DOES IS COMBINE TWO MOVES. NOW LET ME EXPLAIN HOW COMBINING MOVES WORK:; LET'S SAY I'VE GOT A CORVINIGHT WITH 4 MOVES (CURSE,BODY PRESS,IRON HEAD,ROOST) AND I DECIDE TO COMBINE CURSE AND BODY PRESS. WELL NOW WE GOT THIS COMBINED MOVE THAT HAS THE SIDE EFFECTS OF BOTH MOVES, MEANING THAT BY USING IT, NOT ONLY YOU USE BODY PRESS, BUT YOU ALSO USE CURSE AT THE SAME TIME (NOTE: IF YOU MIX A DAMAGING AND SETUP MOVE LIKE I DID HERE, BY USING THE COMBINED ONE, THE SETUP WILL ALWAYS COME BEFORE THE DAMAGE). ANOTHER THING COMBINING MOVES DOES IS COMBINING THE TYPING OF A MOVE. FOR EXAMPLE, NOW THAT WE'VE COMBINED BODY PRESS WITH CURSE, BODY PRESS WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO HIT GHOST TYPES SUPER EFFECTIVLY (BECAUSE OF CURSE BEING A GHOST TYPE) BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HIT NORMAL TYPES (AGAIN, BECAUSE OF CURSE). P.S: YOU ALSO GET TO USE YOUR OTHER MOVES (IN THIS CASE IRON HEAD AND ROOST), JUST THAT INSTEAD OF 4 MOVES YOU HAVE 3 BECAUSE TWO OF THEM HAVE BEEN COMBINED | image tagged in memes,pokemon,ideas | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I mean, they're both two turn moves, so technically you could hit both flying types (fly) and hit super effectivly Fire types (dig)

I don't know honestly
Im not an animator, but to not make like millions of different animations for all the combinations, I'd just make one global animation for the types combined
Like 1 animation for fire grass moves, 1 animation for electric ghost moves etc
