They do represent democracy.
“Democracy” is camouflage for communism. It always has been.
We are a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy. The Constitution calls for the election of representatives and senators and the President utilize democratic process. That is the extent of and limit of this country being a democracy.
The Democrat Party is in total reality a Communist Party.

I do to not think it is equal to communism but both is an utopia. Not viable in pure form.
What people mean by democracy in their mind is a few very good idea like equality under the law, the power to fire a bad leader such and such.
Just as with communism like there should not be huge difference between the power of individuals and social security, the government should take care of important utilities of the country.
There are overlaps and those good ideas together would be optimal.
Actually it shows people think it very right just crooked, twisted evil minds spoil everything.
