humans are very social animals

I think I have a theory as to why people will add what song they're listening to into their announcement templates even though 99% of the time nobody cares. I think it's out of desire for attention, just saying "hey this song is cool you should check it out" discreetly, or instinct, since humans are social animals. We're eating, we have to make noise, let others know that we're eating. Same with drinking. Same with walking. Same with being sick. It's how we function. We even, usually, make a lot of noise when we're (sexually) pleasuring ourselves or procreating. So that could be why some people add what song they're listening to. Could also be why some people can't stfu about how much they wanna smash a certain character or something.
