It comes as little surprise to most people that an ideology that's never worked at a national, state, or city level also might not be particularly useful for organizing a political party.
That said, in a two party system you are who you caucus with - I simply don't see how the party that gave us the 2007 Housing Crash, turned America into the epicenter of the COVID pandemic, and generally fulfill their own prophecies of government ineptitude can be anyone's clear choice unless the downfall of the republic is your goal.
