Your not wrong to ask money becuase only know you want and what makes you happy and in top of that you can treat yourself and get what you truly want

I really think that money is the best gift, because it enables someone in order to buy whatever they want, instead of giving them something that they might not like but have to pretend to like in order to spare the feelings of the giver

its really impersonal though, I'd rather have someone understand me enough to get me a really personal meaningful gift than go 'heres 20 bucks go buy whatever the f**k you want idc'

Of course I understand that and I do agree that there are many objects that hold much more sentimental value than money, but I am talking about how I myself personally prefer to recieve gifts

I ask people all the time what they want and more than half of them just go "i'll take anything", at which point I just give them some money in order to get whatever they may want or need, but if you prefer to recieve specific things then there is absolutely nothing wrong with that
