Tbf to the brits, it was probably in their best interest to establish “Israel”, since they were both colonizer states that had a shared interest in subjugating brown people.

Regardless of what you think of what Israel does today the historical facts are it was established as a safe haven for the Jews, you have to remember this was three years after the Holocaust and people wanted to make sure that it couldn’t happen again.
