fictional world: one or more characters get killed off in specific ways at specific times to invoke emotion from irl consumers and to advance the plot, even though they’re technically immortal since they’re not real therefore the laws of science don’t necessarily apply depending on the fiction. characters can also be written and designed to be as powerful or as weak as the author/artist/director desires which allows some characters to be able to powerscale even the spacetime fabric. most characters might take the extra step and go as far as to break the fourth wall which can be considered equivalent to the spacetime fabric in the world of fiction, in which characters just follow the script or code program. most fiction also eliminates already-existing problems and rules from the real world in favor of a more “idealistic” escape world
real world: since humans are mortal and also have the tendency to try stupid things, literally anything can kill them at any time before they even know it, especially since there’s no plot armor to prevent their death therefore making irl deaths more unexpected than deaths in fiction. unlike in some fiction, humans cannot respawn or be reborn after they die. since there are technically no main characters, there is also no plot so someone’s sudden death won’t have an effect on the rest of the world other than their friends, loved ones, and other people they happen to be associated with. however, though, humans have free will and aren’t bound to a script or code program, though there are rules therefore some of their actions are subject to comsequences like punishment.also humans are no match for the forces of nature unlike some of their fictional counterparts
