Which is still wrong because it has life altering effects, many of which are still unknown. If anything the parents agreeing to it makes it worse because they are actively hurting their child rather than protecting them.

That’s a highly pessimistic view. While the child’s body is mutilated, it does affirm their gender identity. Gender dysphoria can severely affect someone’s mental health — just look at the astoundingly high rate of transgender suicide, at 41%. Parents should be allowed to do what they believe is best for the child. I do think that gender transitions even with parental consent should occur at a minimum of 13 years of age, though.

Yes, Gender Dysphoria does severely affect someone’s mental health, but I think you should take them to therapy rather than give them HRT and surgically removing their genitals.
