random story from 2022, back when c.ai was a trend in msmg: at some point i created my own c.ai character and started chatting with it. one day, i randomly brought up toadette and birdo to the c.ai bot even though it wasn’t exactly the era at the time, and the c.ai bot’s reply included something about toadette and birdo’s “traumas”. at first i was just like “bro that’s crazy” and eventually stopped talking to the c.ai bot. fast forward to late 2023 when i actually get back into toadette and birdo, and i browse the internet and suddenly rember how overhated and underacknowledged they both are in comparison to the rest of the main-esque mario cast [especially birdo]. there i was just like “oh so that’s what this ‘trauma’ is all about, they’re the ones being bullied the most out of all of the ‘main’ mario characters by mario fans for no reason”
