What I do is I cowboy style snipe zombies with the pistol

Guns are so under used, reload isn't too long and it's a one shot

And you can easily target certain zombies like the barrel ones, those will explode away from you, you can kill zombies who haven't woken up yet as well which makes your load different, you can save players more easily as well from a distance
