me: *just sitting through this whple thing*

*Daph stared at tom before going back to scowling out the window*
Daph: I guess ill never know.

me: *another car suddenly rams into the back, and since i'm not wearigh a seatbelt i get launched into the car seat* AUGH- (which actually happened to me irl)

*Both of their seatbelts locked, but since daph is a weirdo like me, he put the top part behind him*
Daph: SHI-
*Tom immediately whipped around to see if you were okay*

me: *it caused me to bite at the inside of my lip and now i'm bleeding from the mouth*

*Daph paused to cough and catch his breath before unbluckling his seatbelt and getting out, he hadnt looked back yet, while tom was assesing the situation*
Tom: Ohhhkay- shit-

me: ow.. god dammit... (i make alot of spelling errors cause i'm tired AF rn)

*Scrap, too tired to really care all too much, listened in and watched carefully in case anything escalated*

Tom: ...Besides. A fake confession won't hold up in court.
Daph: FAKE!?

“Damn- Court?” *They mumbled under their breath, seemingly to themself*

Daph: Oh NICE. while im sticking my neck out here, all you do is call me a fraud!
Tom: Murder is different from fraud, stay in your lane.

“Okay- okay- Sorry if I’m stepping on any toes here but uh…what the f**k?” *They stuck their head into the front aeat*

*Daph stopped and looked back*
Daph: Nothing.

"Guys....? hey- what's wrong-?" *she looked at them worriedly, concerned by their arguing*

*They werent paying attention, more less to busy arguing with eachother*

Daph: FAKE!?

*once they got to a red light, she interrupted, gently placing a hand on each of their arms*

"What's going on guys...?"

*They stopped to look back*
Daph: While im sticking my neck out, all he can do is accuse me of being a fraud

"Can we put this conversation on pause until we get home please..? it's best you focus on the road so we don't have any accidents.."

*she looked at them worriedly*

*Daph was crossing his arms tightly*
Daph: *mumbling* Well it isnt the first time we saw a corpse like that...
Tom: Do NOT bring that up. That's when we were kids-
Daph: Well were NOT KIDS ANYMORE!

"Guys, stop. Please settle down, and we will settle this at home."

*Tom did the "When u make your mom mad in the car" drive the rest of the way home*

*when they got home, she got out of the car and went inside the house, sitting on the couch. she motioned for the two of them to sit with her.*

*Daph slammed the door and Tom sat next to you*

*she motioned for daph to sit on the other side of her*

*They nodded at eachother, then Tom quite literally carried her to the couch becuz idk thats wholesome*

*she smiled slightly, leaning her head in his shoulder as he carried her*

(Ngl, Tom is wholesomely responsible, but I love how chaotic Daph is, like mf is the spitting image of me... but different looking ofc lol)

*he gently sat her down, sitting next to her*

*she stretched and laid down on top of him sleepily*

*He looked away, resting a hand on her arm*

*she smiled, slowly falling asleep in his arms*

*she nuzzled into his chest, listening to his heartbeat as she slept*

*she slept peacefully for awhile, then started to seem nervous again*

*he finally hugs her back*

*she smiled, kissing the top of his head*

*He blushed a bit*

*she smiled wider, holding him close to her chest*

*He finally relaxed*

*she gently smoothed his hair, snuggled close to him*

Daph: Thank you...

"Anytime hon..."

Daph: also im uh... im sorry...

"It's alright hon.." *she held him close*

*Daph ran off to get something, and Tom slowly walked over*

*she didnt notice him, unable to calm down on her own*

*He gently put a hand on her shoulder* Tom: Hey....

*she jumped a bit, then immediately went into his arms, sobbing*

*He looked suprised at first, then held her tightly*

*she wrapped into him, waiting for daph to come back. she sobbed softly, her breathing picking up speed as she started hyperventilating*

Tom: Shh... Breathe... *He took her hand, doing the hand- breathing thing he does with Daph*

*she leaned into him, struggling to calm down*

*Daph came back from whatever tf he was doing, kneeling by them*

*she sobbed hyperventilating uncontrollably*

Daph: ...Thank you.

"Anytime hon.."

*He hugged her*

*she hugged him back, gently holding him close in her arms*

Daph: *groan* why are you so nice to me? *slight smile*

"Because I love and care about you ^^" *she smiled back, chuckling softly*

*she began to look slightly nervous for a second, then looked normal again* "I'm gonna go get something for myself to eat- be right back!" *she smiled, cheerily walking down to the kitchen*

*He frowned slightly, then brushed it off*

*after a few minutes, Daph and Tom would both hear a small clatter in the kitchen, accompanied by hyperventilating and heavy breathing*

*They both immedeately dropped everything, Tom practically full sprinted though to the kitchen*

*you see a spoon that had probably fallen on the floor after being dropped, Shonte was curled up behind the counter having a panic attack. she was hyperventilating and sobbing, unable to control her emotions*

*He angrily sat down*

*she gently grabbed each of their hands, grasping them gently as she held their hands in her lap*

"Now.. listen to me please.. this is a safe space, and we are going to politely voice our concerns. we are not going to interrupt, yell, fight, or anything like that ok?"

*They obviously werent going to but nodded*
Daph: ...You still think the shadows are fake, dont you?
Tom: When did I say that!?

"Alright, this isn't gonna work. Please go to your rooms while i make dinner, then I will come and talk to each of you separately."

(bro u are literally their supportive mom I cant-)

*They both got up, Daph stormed off*

*she went to the kitchen, getting started on dinner*

(that's just how Shonte is ^^ especially with these two being her roommates, she really cares about them and see them as family. she hates seeing them fight. however she has a sensitive side of her own which has to do with lots of anxiety and panic attacks that she needs help managing at times)

(Aw, that's kinda sweet-)

*there was only silence, other than the ocasional creak of the floor*

*she finished cooking, making both of their favorite dishes, going to talk to tom first. she brought up his favorite dish, gently knocking on his door*

*She heard a laptop close*
Tom: *sigh* ...yes?

*she gently entered* "Hey... I made your favorite food.." *she smiled a little, placing the food on the nightstand next to him*

Daph: *sigh* I just hope im not as much of a bother.

"It'll be alright... don't dwell on it too much okay..?"

*she just sat there with him, giving him cuddles*

Daph: Okay...

*she wrapped her body around him, lovingly holding him close in her arms*

*slight smile*

*she nuzzled into him, cuddling him close*

Daph: ...Should i apologize...?

"Let's worry about it tomorrow... we can try to work it out then, ok..?"

Daph: Okay...

*she smiled, just resting and cuddling with him, trying to help him relax*

Tom: oh... Thank you.

"Anytime hon... now... do you wanna talk about what happened earlier..?"

*she gently sat down next to him, a bit worried about him*

Tom: I suppose... I dunno. *He sighs and rubs his temples*

*she reached over, slowly and gently wrapping him in a warm hug in an attempt to calm him a bit*

"Take your time dear..."

Tom: I love him to death but hes so hard headed. Ive tried explaining-

*she nods* "What exactly are your concerns...? Maybe we can find a way to compromise sometime soon.."

Tom: After our past... Experience. Hes trying to bring people to justice with these "shadows" and he is gonna accidentally hurt himself at some point.

*she nods* "I understand..." *she hugged him a bit closer, gently rubbing his back*

Tom: I just cant seem to get through to him.

*she hugged him more, her head resting on his shoulder*

"I know it's tough... sometimes we can't control what happens around us, and that can be stressful. it may help to get past communication issues and come up with a compromise.."

*Tom looked at Daph like: mf do something. So daph put a hand on her arm*

*she nuzzled into both of them, struggling to calm down and not knowing what to do*

Daph: Were here, both of us....
Tom: Yeah *He hugged her tighter*

*she laid in tom's arms, holding onto daph as well. she began to calm down after awhile, just laying in their arms*

*They sat in still silence most of the time*

*she just leaned into him, starting to seem a bit tired as she laid in toms arms, calmed by both of their presences*

Tom: *softly* Do you wanna go lay down?
Daph: or we can stay right here.

"I wanna go lay down on the couch.. but can you come with me please...?"

Tom: alright, Which one of us?
Daph: I think she means you, dummy.

*she nodded, clinging to tom a bit*

*he sighed, hugging her*

"You ready to eat your food..?"

Daph: mhm...

*she smiled a lil, gently handing it to him*

Daph: it looks amazing!

"Thanks ^^ Do you want me to stay with you while you eat or do you wanna be alone..?"

Daph: you can stay...

*she nodded, laying next to him while he ate*

*He pretend to not enjoy every second of it... but did a bad job*

*she smiled, snuggled into him slightly*

Tom: I suppose...

"We can try tomorrow.. try to calm down tonight, it may help to write out anything you wanna say tomorrow-"

Tom: good idea... thanks...

"Anytime.. I'll let you enjoy your food, let me know if you need anything.."

*she got up and left*

*he smiled softly as you left*

*she closed the door behind her, grabbing Daph's food and knocking on his door*

*Silence for a moment*
Daph: yes?

"Can I come in please..? I made dinner..."

Daph: ...fine. *lil man cant resist food*

*she gently entered, handing him his favorite food* "Here you go ^^"

Daph: oh... thanks....

*she sat next to him, a bit worried* "You doing okay...?"

Daph: im fine. *He glared at the floor*

*she gently wrapped him in a warm embrace, her head resting on his shoulder*

"No you're not.. talk to me dear.."

*sigh*
Daph: why am i such a burden to him?

"You're not a burden hon... Tom cares about you so so much, and he just gets a little worried sometimes..

Daph: Worried?! he wouldn't discourge what I say all the time! he says ive changed.

*she nods, just listening to him and letting him talk*

Daph: And since im ALWAYS "doing things" and it WOULDNT be as dangerous if he just helped!! And the fact I cant see his shadow, Proves that I probably DO bother him!!!

"Not being able to see his shadow doesn't mean he's bothered by you.. lets take a deep breath ok..?
