it's a moisturizer too how does a moisturizer do the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do

I'm lucky to have basically no acne but I have like 40 skin allergies (A ton of skin sensitive products that are supposed to apply to people with skin allergies I'm allergic to) so whenever I try out a new moisturizer or something there's a 50% chance my entire face is on fire; Guess who's face is on fire rn
