DNA doesn’t survive for very long so we couldn’t bring back dinosaurs, and even then it would be only some of the DNA needed to replicate them
The furthest we would be able to bring back would be mammoths, but even then they would need to be combined with elephant/mastodon DNA

We could bring back the DNA by reversing and selecting traits

You might be right but it’d still be hard to replicate the environment from millions of years ago when there was a much higher carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere and things were more competitive
