I got shot at 5 different times in 4 years of doing repo, and NEVER hit, but the last thing on my mind was raising a fist in defiance ! I was shittin egg rolls for a week after every one.

Yeah, usually let this kinda stuff just fly, but this is something I know a thing or two about.
Even with AMPLE liquid courage, and half the chemicals known to man coursing through my body, getting shot at is a MFer !
It's nothing like the movies, I was convulsing so intensely with each report, I ended up patting myself all over to see if indeed I was shot there! (all whilst serpentining down the street @ like what seemed like 100MPH)

NOT worrying about letting the people know THAT I WAS OKAY !!!

Pull up to a suspicious vehicle in front of a pole barn; old guy staggers out and yells "Get away from my cows!" Puts one round into my squad and promptly falls face first into the mud, dead drunk. 😂

One time we put a broom stick between the railings of the front porch knowing someone would come out because it was a screamer, Ole Mattie Lester, an old black lady had a shot gun pointed up, and hit the stick ! BOOM to the sky, and Mattie ass over tea kettle.

One more, Malcom Whitehead comes out with a 4' piece of iron plumbing pipe, wearing ONLY a condom. Got em in mid stroke I guess. (tells ya where their priorities lie eah ?)

Truth be known? I'd rather work the ghetto all day long. Those lonely rides up to a farmhouse, (like yours) that you KNOW has a shotgun behind the open screen door? You knew what was coming, if it came out. And who would blame em ???

I could regale you with 36 yrs worth of stories like that... From the driver wearing ONLY 3 socks (think about it) to the lady demanding an Officer remove a wasp from her bedroom. From the literal riots (had an intersection with biker bar, redneck bar and college bar on 3 corners, all closing at 0200) to the half hour long pursuits and over 20 fatal crashes. 🙄 It was an... Interesting career.
