my computer. currently at 4,787 images, which take up 375 MB uncompressed

how does it work exactly, does it comb images already posted or only new ones? is it working 24/7 or do you need to manually enable it every time? sorry I'm just interested, seems cool

it checks if the most recent post is already saved, and if not, saves it. it runs on its own but i dont run it constantly.

if so what does it do when it reaches the end and there are no new posts either, it obviously can't go to the next post right? or is that unnacouted for so far?

and about how long does it take to download a single image worth?

it takes it about a second to download the post or less depending on my internet quality.

no it only downloads the most recent post, it wont go back and look at old ones. basically it sits and waits for new ones, checking for new posts every 2 seconds

I bet if you modified it to check if the next post down is downloaded and kept in a chain while still checking for more recent images you could actually download everything
of course I have genuinely no clue how much storage the entirety of msmg would take up combined

the problem is id have to completely change how it works to look at the next post. it doesnt see posts in any particular order, only which one is the most recent.

my goal isnt to download all of MSMG, just enough in case i need something, like evidence of someone posting porn or whatever, and also because i just wanted to learn

I get it, would be extremely practical to implement especially considering the redundancy

i may look into doing that at some point, just to see if i can do it though. currently working on adding a gui
