You probably need to be more relaxed.
I’d say (I’m ready for the tomatoes) put down your phone a little bit before trying to sleep (boo I know)
You can also take hot showers or baths before bed.
Here’s my favourite method to a sleepless night- meditation. Get into a comfortable position, (I recommend sitting cross legged-or laying down on your back) and focus on your breathing, or things that make you happy. Do what I call “square breathing,” where you breathe in for the count of four (interchangeable with whatever number makes you comfortable) hold it for four, release for four, and hold for four, before repeating. If you believe in that sort of stuff, grab an amethyst or tiger eye to clear your mind, or a rose quartz to center yourself on self love, or love for others. Sometimes I like to have a small mantra I repeat to myself. Traditional people use “ohm” but I think that’s boring. I repeat things like “I am okay” or “The world’s not perfect, but it’s not that bad.”
I’d love to keep a journal to write about your day in. (Not a diary, we’re cool kids) it helps release the emotions.
All else fails I turn to daydreams or fake it till you make it lol
