Donetsk and Lugansk became their own country, but asked to join Russia the same day. Crimea did the same in 2014

I recognize Kosovo and Crimea as independent. Donetsk as a part of Ukraine, and Lugansk as a part orf Russia. Is that a fair compromise?

Well, both Donetsk and Lugansk are inside of Russia right now. And Crimea has voluntarily been part of Russia for the past 12 years.
