In this story, war has gotten so advanced that one of the Armored Cores from the modern bossfights era wouldn’t last a few seconds against the behemoths of this era. It’s like a coughing baby vs. a hydrogen bomb.

The story’s about terrified scrappers trying to collect resources in the middle of a bunch of mech robots shredding entire squads down, like something straight out of The Forever Winter. All society and cities have been abandoned, everybody’s either trying to survive or trying to win a war that doesn’t even have a point anymore.

Decay was one person trying to not die to zombies that are honestly pretty scarce
This is about ROBOT WAR!!!!!!!!

This is mostly about the survivors in a robot war trying to live off the scraps left behind by the war

I think it would be cool if some powerful figures survived, but gave up on trying to protect everyone, and now just lived alone and sad.

Example: Peyton is no longer a model or a sorcerer, she's a burn-out who lost interest in being pretty and let herself put on some weight and get kind of ugly.

I imagine war isn’t just daily life, but war is religion.
People make prayers to the powerful enemy mechanisms and vehicles so that they don’t feel their wrath, and the politicians who originally started the war are held in regard the same way we hold old, dead kings in regard. Those who are caught by the enemy are stripped of all their gear and crucified on the backs of mechs, showing the enemy’s devotion to the war.
