a ratio is a math thing
if you had 5 upvotes and they had 2, the ratio would be 5:2 (your upvotes to their upvotes)
That would be a successful ratio
if they had 6 upvotes and you had 2 it would be 1:3 (your upvotes to their upvotes)
that would be an unsuccessful ratio
