The thing about religion is, and this may sound controversial to some who have less open minded beliefs... But you don't need to take religion at face-value, my mom taught me not to buy too heavily into what religious books say, or what anyone else says is the truth, we leave it up to ourselves to find what we believe not take directly from the mouth or writing of others, most religious books are just speculation and you don't need to follow them to a tee.
Not saying you can't believe in anything, personally I hold the idea of Christianity myself, just for future reference you don't need to think all of it is true or right because of what religiously biased peers tell you or show you.
I don't mean to insult you with this or anything but based on your typing style I could assume you are young and easily impressionable, and likely also that you come from a family that shoves their own religious beliefs down your throat, I just want you to know it's okay to not believe everything you hear bluntly and truly do your own research from sources with unique ideas, get many points of view and not just the ones cherry picked that support the same ideas as you.
