Man and Pal continue to run deeper into the spaceship as the alarms continue to blare out like a large horn. Large, fiery explosions thumping onto the steel doors as they close.
“Keep on going, the escape pods are just around the corner!” Pal says, as they continue to sprint down the hallway. Just in time, they reach into the room, with just one escape pod left.
Man, worried, says, “We have to take our chances.”
“No, you have to go.” Pal replies.
Man looks at Pal, with frustrated eyes, “No, after all the time I spent with you? I can’t let you go now! Come on, the ship is going to explode!”
“I’m sorry Man, I can’t risk you dying,” Pal says, as he pushes him into the escape pod and closes it. “After all, this is your story, I’m just a man.”
Man bangs on the door, tears dropping from his face, “No! This can’t be happening!”
Pal looks at him, a heartfelt smile escaping from his lips, as he gives him a thumbs up, “We’ll meet again some time.” Pal says his final words, as he presses the blue button on the door which says “Eject.” Man screams as his eyes are watering, the last thing he sees is the ship, combusting into hundreds of pieces.
