Yes: Mark 1 ACs were used in the Inkperious War and although proving effective; they had energy problems such as Phantasmal radiation proving to be fatal to the people replacing the energy cells and gave the ACs a massive weak spot that can be exploited. Mark 2 ACs are replacing Phantasmal energy with a different energy source that has yet to be found. Mark 2 ACs are also much more diversified in parts. Mark 2 ACs can have tank or heavy bipedal legs while the Mark 1 ACs only have Bipedal legs. Mark 2 ACs can be much better engines, faster boosters, better lock on systems, better and more heavy duty arms, heavy duty heads, and tankier chest pieces. Mark 2 ACs can now also have shoulder mounted weaponry. In short, the AC Project is working on the next generation of ACs.
