had a windows xp i had gotten when my grandma upgraded
that thing still runs like a dream despite it being old as hell

same thing happened to the xp laptop

The main battery still works with like 20 minutes of charge time. The CMOS battery is just for the clock and BIOS. (Maybe a bit more those are the main things)

Oh the batteries on mine just pop out the back. It has two locks you just slide and it'll come right out.
