All very horrible explanations, being a therian is having animalistic tendencies, for some it can be physical or mental. It can also be a spiritual thing and an identity. Therians are aware they are in fact humans, and not all therians act like the ones shown on the internet where they wear masks and do quadrobics. I myself am a therian, but I’m fully aware that I’m human, and that I am not any other animal, but I have mental links to my theriotypes. (Hope this helps✌️)

again, different for every person. some would define it within themselves as more of a psychological thing, others would think of it as a past life. i personally am somewhere inbetween, but i do know many people have past lives where they were animals. i'm not like, a professional or anything, this is just going off what i know, if you're interested i'd also recommend doing some of your own research.
