How do you draw hands?

1. Hand should be around the size of the face
2. 5 fingers is always better than four (ik it can be a style choice, but I'm sorta copying other peoples advice)
3. The thumb is the largest and shortest finger, placed lower on the hand. The pointer finger is shorter than the middle finger, the ring finger is slightly taller or shorter (depends on the person) and the pinky is the shortest, next to the thumb.
4. Use your own hand as reference! :)

I actually already made a reference for open hands. But the human anatomy hinders further observation from different angles. I'll try it, though!

Well. Paw beans on the inside of the hand, claws protruding from fingers is optional, flip the hand if it's facing a certain direction.

Articulation is very important. If your character is holding something, draw the object, then the hand around it so it has proper depth

I do that already. Although I do it rarely.

One of my fursonas, Duncan (likely not posting) is holding a foam coffee cup in his left hand. His thumb covers the side shown to the camera, and his other fingers aren't visible

Yeah I used to only draw side facing sonas. But drawing sonas is hard because it's a 2d drawing

I just basically use my hands and try to draw it in humans but sometimes I just don’t do any sketches to draw hands and just go with the flow. I don’t draw blocky hands I draw those smooth hands basically I also make five fingers in each hand.

I mean I don’t draw furries and I draw humans so erm.

I draw them with human hands. Feels better to.

Then that means it’s not a furry cause furries are like animals with animals parts but stand up on two legs but I’m not sure tho I might be wrong

1.2 years after a 3.5 year break in which I only drew schematics, circuit diagrams and watched Rubberross daily.

Woah. I drew for 5 years or 6 years and all I did was draw and at 4th grade I got art class and I got better at drawing and that’s all.

Wow. I just started being good one day. Art is still a nightmare because we never do anything interesting.
