STOP SAYING "READ HOMESTUCK" YOURE NOT READING IT ITS NOT A F**KING NOVEL OR SOMETHING ITS JUST DRAWINGS WITH A FEW WORDS YOURE NOT READING IT YOURE JUST LOOKING AT GO***MN IMAGES
but it HAS to be made of words for you to read it, and your comment is made of words. homestuck is just story made of drawings so you're technically not reading it.
Ok so reading is when you look at words and process them in your mind
Do you look at and process words when looking at Homestuck?
You do.
Therefore you are reading it.
Also there is no requirement for a certain amount of words or artistic language.
No such thing has ever existed.
1. ITS NOT ABOUT HOW MANY WORDS IT HAS I SAID THAT TO SIMPLIFY WHAT I MEAN
2. when did I say Homestuck is bad?
3. it just shouldn't be count as reading a novel but should be count as a reading a comic book because a comic book is closer to whatever it is + if its big it doesnt mean its a novel because it doesnt have what an actual novel has.
I hope you understand what I mean this time because I tried to come to the point
You're reading words in Sticker Star
You're also playing Sticker Star
Reading is going along with the game
Going along with the game is called playing a game
What do you call going along with a story?
Reading a story.
This is unaffected by the quality of the subject at hand.
well Sticker Star isn't a novel just because it has words and a story (i wouldn't even consider it a game but that's beside the point)
neither is Homestuck
i also never said the quality had anything to do with it
Sticker Star isn't a novel because it's a game
You control a person
You can win or lose parts of the game
You can't control a novel
You can't control Homestuck
Novels can have pictures
Novels can have very little complete sentences
That's the thing
There are almost no requirements for novels
you've obviously never read an actual novel. it's just SOOO different and they "talk like real people" there too it just tells what's happening in artistic language and that artistic language is what makes a novel a novel. not some drawins.
you haven't even looked at an actual novel, it's supposed to tell whatever is going on in an artistic language not basic ass drawings and short talk ass sentences.

Homestuck has words you literally just need to read the first 100 pages
Someone came to the conclusion that it has 1.2 million words in 8,000 pages
Look at this, this is in one page of homestuck
is that not enough words for you
you're misunderstanding me.
a real novel is supposed to tell what's happening in a very artistic language that makes your brain picture it and also words sound very good. that on the other hand, just has basic sentences (many words doesnt mean not basic) and just drawings. it doesnt even have that real novel feeling and vibe.
