Why would a shorter ban for a user that has posted slurs multiple times be great?

Well 2 days would be a great place to start for the user to think and to reconsider. If they ban evade, you can extend it via permaban until a set time period by how frequently they evade the ban.

That f slur got him banned... and its atleast a two month ban and not a decade(perma)ban.

Yep, most so called permabans for users are two months, or two weeks at lowest.

Some permabans stay the full duration though, as by the fact that some users have only gone through about 2 of 11 years of their bans.

Man I’ve been permabanned for 4 months for the same reason but surly unbanned me thanks to Toni (before he deleted)
