What you need:
6 cups of the blossoms (remove the centers)
6 cups of water
7 cups of sugar
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
A pack of powdered pectin
Steps:
Boil the water
Messages the flowers for 5 minutes in a bowl (to bruise them)
Turn off the water's heat and pour the petals into the water (while still boiling) let steep for 20 minutes
Strain the flowers
Add the lemon juice
Bring the water back to a boil
Add in the pectin, let it boil for 1 minute
Add the sugar and boil again for 1 minute, constantly stirring
Take off the heat, remove any foam
Water cam for 10 minutes
Different flowers require different amounts of pectin. This is specifically for magnolia blossoms.
