The Mario movie is a billion times better than The Emoji Movie, but still, you can't deny I'm correct on this one.

Unfortunately, I agree. Hopefully the sequel will be better.

Actually, Mario himself develops over the course of the movie. Mario goes from a weakling to a true hero, and earns respect from everyone (Respect that he never really had in the past)
