A short story - stupid piece of shit

Matt lays down on his bed by himself, not wanting to get up.
“Get up asshole, it's fine to be productive today”
He tosses and turns before covering himself under the blanket
“No you stupid piece of shit, go get yourself breakfast you dumbass”
Matt gets up and heads to the bathroom
“I probably don't deserve breakfast. Maybe I'll just let myself starve-”
“Shut the f**k up and keep moving. Breakfast. Get it.”
He finishes brushing his teeth and changing as he goes downstairs to get his breakfast. Rose walks into the room with violet
Rose: Hey dad!
Violet: Hello dear!
“Go greet your family.”
“No I don't deserve their affection”
“Affection my ass, that's your daughter and wife you pile of garbage”
Rose: Oh yeah dad, my mom and I were planning to go to the mall today! Doesn't that sound like fun?
“Respond, you stupid piece of shit, your daughter and wife want to hang out with you.”
“But what if it's a ploy? What if they want to talk to me about my misbehavior or something? But if I leave, they'll probably just talk about me behind my back “

“‘oh they'll just talk about me behind my back’ they're your f**king wife and daughter, you jackass! Do you not trust them?”
Rose: dad?
Matt: um… I needed to go somewhere. Sorry.
Rose; Oh okay see ya-
He left before Rose could finish. Matt got into his car and drove off
“Great! Now your wife and daughter know how much of an asshole you are! And you can’t go back, you just said you got somewhere to go you stupid f**king idiot! Now do us all a favor and let go of that steering wheel and crash for everyone's sake!”
“No no, you don’t get the benefit of dying. You have to live with the guilt of what you’ve done for the rest of your life, you stupid piece of shit.”
Matt parks his car in front of Eren’s house.
“One minute.”
18 hours pass as Matt waves goodbye to Eren.
“Alright, more than one minute. Now go home, dickwad. Your family is going to be worried.”
Eren: Matt! Are you sure that I can’t come home with you?
Matt: Um…
“Say something, ya dingus. She’s your best friend and you’re just standing there like a bumbling idiot. Open that stupid mouth of yours and respond to her!”
Matt: Yeah no… sorry.
Eren: Oh. Alright. I’m gonna head to bed
Matt: Yeah alright see ya
He says, waving her goodbye as Eren walks back into her house. Matt gets back into his car and drives back home. When he gets back, he parks the car and reaches for the door.

“Wow, that's a day you’ll never get back. 24 hours and you wasted it with your friend instead of your family. Is this just some sick joke to you? You’re a real stupid piece of shi-”
Violet opens the door before Matt’s thoughts can continue
Violet; oh welcome home, honey!
She hugs him, happy to see her husband arrived safely
“Hug her back. Come on, dumbass.”
“Nah, I don’t deserve her love.”
“Stop pitying yourself, you stupid asshole and hug the woman you married.”
Matt just stands there as Violet pulls away from the hug.
Violet: Is something wrong?
Matt: No… no it’s fine
“Why did you lie to her, you f**king idiot? Do you not trust your family anymore? Maybe they’re the ones who don’t deserve you in their life.”
Violet: um… okay. I'm here if you need anything.
She leaves Matt alone as Matt watches Rose on the couch
“Talk to your daughter”
“drink first”
“No, you stupid alcoholic. Go talk to her. You're ruining her, you know that? You may not feel like it, but your poison is already on her”
“That's not true!”
“Yeah it is! Every single thing you do hurts others, whether you intend it or not. No wonder why everyone wants you dead so badly. That's why Eren broke up with you, that's why mercury will never forgive you, so what are you gonna do ass hole, what are you gonna do to Rose? Huh? You stupid piece of shi-”
Matt: SHUT UP!
the yell from Matt makes everyone in the house turn to him.
Rose: dad… no one was talking… are you okay?
Matt: I… I'm… gonna go to sleep early.
He runs off without saying another word as he mutters to himself in his sleep
Matt: stupid piece of shit, you're a stupid piece of shit.
