I have had it multiple times before

its just scary tbh when your brain is awake but your body is asleep,

from what i've heard it's scarier than normal nightmares

its like, you're aware of being "awake" but basically, when you go into REM (dreaming), your muscles are actually paralyzed if you didn't know that

basically, sleep paralysis puts your body in REM, but your brain is awake
