to me it depends on the usage of whats being taken

if the kid doesnt use it enough, i dont think its worth taking

personally, i support taking it if they value that object over things that are arguably more important (like family or schoolwork)

Okay fair but what if it permanently taken and the child loses interest of those things because losing them killed off the desire to do those things and now the child grows up doing something else feeling unhappy because they aren't using the talent given to them
