German nationalism went against the Treaty of Versailles, they kept growing an army and the Prime Minister of Great Britain kept letting them do whatever they wanted until Germany invaded Poland and started WW2. They wanted to grow their army because a lot of the country felt cheated by the Treaty that blamed all of WW1 on Germany
