Malice: “Hello, twin sister.”

Mayu: “M-Malice! I missed you-”

Malice: “THAT'S NOT TRUE! IF YOU MISSED ME, YOU WOULD HAVE LOOKED FOR ME!”

Mayu: “I did! I’ve been looking everywhere, but I was never able to find you…”

Malice: “Well then MAYBE, you should have looked harder. But ya didn’t.”

Mayu: “W-what even happened to you..? You were never like this at all… even your appearance has changed…”

Malice: “Well, here’s what happened.”

Malice started explaining what happened to her that day. Cue the flashback!

When Malice had jumped in front of me to protect me, she had her eyes squeezed shut and she was braced for impact. Me, Scout and Marshal however had out eyes open, so when that blue light hit us, Malice was the only one unaffected. Since Me, Scout and Marshal couldn’t see a thing… in fact, we couldn’t remember a thing except for seeing blue for about 5 minutes… anyways, since we couldn’t see a thing, the figure grabbed Malice and took her somewhere. When they arrived, they saw the Mayor Stellar, his face was all corrupted.

Young Malice: “W-WHO ARE YOU?! WHAT DO YOU WANT?!”

Stellar: “Relax, child. I just want to make a deal with you.”

Young Malice: “A-a deal?”

Stellar: “Do you want your wildest dreams to come true? Do you want to see your family again?”

Young Malice: “Y-yes, I do.”

Stellar: “Then join us, and together we can make that happen.”

Young Malice: “...Okay.”

At that moment, Malice felt a bit weird. The last thing she remembered was some black goop on her face.

Mayu: “So… they corrupted you…”

Malice: “Corrupted? No, they made me better.”

Mayu: “No, they didn’t!”

Malice: “YES THEY DID!”

Mayu: “I can’t argue with you, can I?”

Malice: “Nah, I’m pretty much gonna deny what you say!”

Mayu: “Pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza!”

Malice: “...AWH F- I’m done with you, Mayu. Instead, I’m gonna let someone else deal with you.”

Malice let me go. I was confused about what she meant, but I didn't mind it. As I was going to walk out of the forest, another figure tackled me. I looked at this figure, and I was surprised to see who it was. This figure, just like Malice, was also corrupted. But… no… they couldn’t possibly have… SCOUT?! She looked at me with a super blank stare, her eyes were glowing blue, and she was glitching out. Her voice sounded robotic and a bit creepy.

CScout: “Hello, Mayu.

Mayu: “Scout, I-”

Malice looked back, smirking

Malice: “See what I met by ‘a different person’, Mayu?”

Mayu: “W-what did you do to my best friend..?”

Malice: “Oh, we just made some improvements to her.”

Mayu: “IMPROVEMENTS?! YOU CORRUPTED MY BESTIE, AND YOU CALL THAT ‘IMPROVEMENTS’?! You’re SICK.”

Malice: “Hehehe, I know that. And she’s not the only person that we were going to corrupt…”

Suddenly, I heard a voice. 2 voices, actually. This one sounded familiar… Hana and Hunter!

Malice: “Seems like you forgot about your little friend for a few chapters, didn’t you?”

Mayu: “Now is NOT the time for a 4th wall break!”

I quickly pushed Scout off of me, and I tried to run away, but she just tackled me again. She threw a few punches at me, and almost knocked me out, but I was also able to land a few punches on her face, stunning her for a few minutes. Meanwhile, a lone inkling by the name of Veme was traveling through the woods.

Veme: “Vemo! Vemo? Are you here?”

Somebody tapped her on the shoulder. Veme turned around to see Vemo, who was corrupted like Scout and Malice. However, this one was different. He was goofy. VERY goofy. He tried attacking her, but he stumbled. Veme stepped back as he tried attacking again, but stopped. He quickly snapped back to his senses, staring at Veme for a few seconds.

Veme: “V-Vemo..?”

Vemo: “Veme?”

Veme was still a bit suspicious of him, so she threw a splat bomb with low-tide ink in it at Vemo. She pulled out a Splat brella so that way she wouldn’t get ink splattered all over her, as Vemo just stood there until… the splat bomb went off. When Veme put the brella away, She saw Vemo who was (mostly) back to normal. He still had some of that glitchy liquid on his face.

Veme: “Huh. That’s it? That’s really all it takes?”

Vemo: “I-i’m back…”

Vemo would then hug Veme for about a minute. Meanwhile Veme was gasping for air. Vemo then let go of her.

Vemo: “Thanks, sis.”

Veme: “Hehe!”

Meanwhile, I was rushing off to go and find the rest of the group to go and warn them. Apparently they were all at the bar, so I guess I had some place to hide in case it got more dangerous. I busted through the doors and yelled out to everyone

Mayu: “HANA AND HUNTER ARE IN DANGER!”

Everyone looked back at me. The person who seemed the most shocked by this information was Jinuri (Hana’s brother), Roswald, River, and Valori, who quickly ran out to go and fight the threat. Despite her only being 11, I knew that kid could put up a fight.

X: “What type of danger?”

Mayu: “Well… I have a twin sister, but she’s evil. She wasn’t always that way, but now she is! She’s probably gonna corrupt them.”

Wynter: “She’s gonna wha..?”

Sandkid: “That doesn’t sound good, maybe I sho-”

Before he could finish his sentence, Scout and Malice busted through the door.

Violet: “Wow, she looks just like you!”

Mayu: “I know, right?! But that’s not the point. If she did something bad to Scout, who knows what she might do to the rest of us?”

Scout looked around the room looking for an easy target, and then, she found not one, not two, but three. Sandkid, X (which was a death wish), and Wynter. She lunged at them, all of them except for X bracing for impact. But then… some sort of bubble protected them from getting hit. Scout was confused, and so was everyone else. Wynter looked up as she was shocked.

Wynter: “Wha…”

Sandkid: “No way, she has powers!”
