They tried to circumcise me but my foreskin only got stronger again, since then I have been circumcised every six months, when I am in danger I put it on my body as an outer layer, it is completely bulletproof, waterproof and fireproof, I have plans to sell it as a very resistant material, The bridges will be made with foreskin beams, the police units will have foreskin vests, I will live in my foreskin house and bathe in my wealth, I am the foreskin man.

This is going to be a long one so I am giving you a heads up and an apology from the get go.

I will also preface this with saying that I am beyond grateful for the creators of and people using Roblox every day. I don’t play it solo but my five year old is absolutely obsessed.

Trust me, I never thought I would be one of those parents that let their kids spend time on video games this young. I originally planned on being a crunchy mom with lots of homemade baby foods and a strict no screen time rule.

Yet that all changed when he was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Level 3 at 18 months.

I have videos of him from 3 months old and up learning baby sign language with me. We were having protoconversations by the time he was a year old. Then overnight it was like a light went out behind his eyes. He wouldn’t look at me or even turn when I called his name. He would spend his time licking everything he could.

This combined with the pandemic made for a very hard few years. I jumped in headfirst; he was in speech, occupational and aba therapy for years. I read books, took online parenting classes that specialized in it and received my certification to become a behavioral tech myself!

Within the last year it all started coming to fruition.

He is now communicating verbally and is fully potty trained. knock on wood

Part of autism is he hyperfixates on certain interests. Currently it is video games, so while he isn’t reading and I don’t allow him to have volume on or talk to people we have been working our way through my gaming library.

Then he discovered Roblox.

It is insane how many videos we have watched of other people playing this game since he discovered it. He talks about it constantly and everything around him is a relation of some sort to something in the game.

Today we were talking about playing it together and he seemed worried about something. I kept digging and prying about it until he told me his concerns.

Now words are still hard for him and his brain seems to operate at a faster framerate than his mouth can process occasionally. This was one of those times.

What he meant to say was, “Mommy, I am scared that playing Roblox will be too difficult for me in actuality.”

What came out was, “Mommy, I think Roblox makes me sooooo hard.”
