The Red Retrieval Chapter 10: Three On Three

Setuh, X, and Saike stopped at a room with a door with words painted on it saying "Do not come in!". This was a trap, but none of them noticed.

"Something feels off... You sure that this is the room?", X asked.
"It should be according to this map, so yeah. What do you mean "something feels off"?", Setuh confirmed.
"I don't know... this just feels too easy. It's almost as if our enemy wanted-", X said before realising something.

Something quite terrifying was about to occur. He could feel it in his bones. X backed away with worry from the door, and slowly shoved Setuh and Saike back. The two were confused.

"X. What are you doing?", asked Saike.
"We are NOT going in there!", worried X.
"Why not? The map says so!".
"No! We can't! Someone or something is behind that room! We can't feel their energy, but I know it! Once we opened that door, we will be killed before we can have the chance to atta-"

Ponk!

Something touched the back of his head. A finger! But, whose is that? Setuh and Saike, who were in front of X, took a step backwards. The finger became a bit forceful as it pushed X's head forwards.

"One wrong move, monsieur, and I fill your organs with the wrong gases...", a masked Frenchman threatened.
"... you!", X snarled.
"I have a name, thank you! And it is Professor Pasteur!", he shouted as he further pushed X, "You three didn't fall for the trap, but you stood still like sitting ducks! Good enough for me to kill you!".

The sound of claps and footsteps were heard from the left side of the corridor. It came closer, and closer, as the heroes turned to their left and saw the Masked Silhouette and the Pixelator. Impressed by the three, Silhouette clapped his hands.

"Congratulations!", he cheered, "You made it this far to show your failure. I expected you three to enter our base, so I planned a trap method in order to make sure your progress in your rescue mission goes downhill."
"... shit.", groaned Saike.
"Shit, indeed. And that is what all of you shall be reduced to."
"As if that would happen, porcelain face-", Setuh was cut off as she was punched in the stomach by the Pixelator.

The attack positioned Setuh on her knees, forcing her to cover her belly. She was then kicked in the head against the wall.

"Setuh-", Saike was also interrupted as he was put in a chokehold against the wall.
"You three won't be getting out of this at all!", grinned Silhouette behind his mask, "Kill them all!".

Pixelator had her phishing rod out and was about to stab Setuh in the heart. Pasteur covered X's face in dangerous gases, which X himself was trying not to smell. Saike was strangled even more by Silhouette. He tried to pull Silhouette's arm off of him, but it was just too sturdy. He looked at the other two who were struggling to break free. He thought of what he should do, but he couldn't think of anything. It was all over for them. They had no chances in getting out of this alive. There was nobody there to save them. All hope had been lost.

"Wait a minute...", Saike remembered, "Chihe... I'm the God of Blood! Chihehehehehe!".
"HYDRA!", he screamed while being choked.

As expected, three bloody, reptilian heads came out of his back. The one on his left bashed Pixelator out of the way. The one on his right chomped on Pasteur, who then disappeared into the air. The middle one opened its jaw and charged at Silhouette, who back-flipped out of its way. The head did not stop at nothing. It continued to pursue its target.

"You think you can stop me with your blood?", scoffed Silhouette, "You poor, poor child."
"How about you respect your fricking elders?!", snapped back Saike as the hydra head was about to devour Silhouette.

"Bold of you to assume that I'm younger than you.", he softly said as he caught hold of the hydra head with his bare hands.

With ease, the man ripped the head apart. As that happened, the rest of the hydra splattered all over the place. In any case of honesty, that was impossible, but at the same time, impressive. This psychopath was like none other, if not some others.

"So you can touch blood like they're solids, huh?", reckoned Saike, "That's a nice ability. Too bad you're gonna get eaten."
"Fool! I just ripped the head of your hydra. I can do it agai-", Silhouette was interrupted.

Another hydra head came out from the right and chomped off the top of Silhouette, before returning to its user. The remains of his body fell down, with a bit of red splashing out. Surprised yet disappointed by the Silhouette, Saike did his signature giggle once again. He looked over to his friends, Setuh and X, who felt really uneasy after being attacked out of the blue.

"What happened to the others?", Saike asked as he brought the two up.
"They just ran away. They're probably bringing some reinforcements to put us down.", guessed a rather dizzy Setuh.
"Okay. That's bad. We're gonna have to hurry then. We can't waste any more time.", Saike suggested.

"No need!", a feminine voice spoke behind the three.

The three turned around to see Amber, and Byrd with an Dynamo laying unconsciously on his brother's back.

"GUYS!", Setuh loudly cheered, "You actually found him!".
"Byrd! You blue bitch!", Saike scowled, "Took you long enough."
"Thank god, you three are okay.", X felt in relief.

"You guys have no idea what the hell happened to us." ,puffed Amber as she seemed to be tired.
"Shut up, you bloody bastard!", snapped Byrd to Saike, "By the way, we ran into Crowbar, the crow guy. Amber somehow managed to defeat him. While that happened, I found Dynamo strapped somewhere in a dark room. I got him out of there easily."
"He's unconscious though. We tried waking him up, but no dice."
"Maybe, he can wake up later. But for now, we have to get out of here. X?", Setuh said while patting and rubbing Dynamo in the head.
"Got it!", he said as he unleashed a gauntlet out of nowhere.

"Ooh! Nice gauntlet you got there.", complimented Saike, "What's that?".
"A Ryft Blade.", answered X.
"A blade? But that's a-".
"Gauntlet. Yeah, but it has "Blade" in the name. Don't ask me why. Liam gave it to me before we engaged in the mission. With this, I can get us outta here in no time."

X held his hand with the gauntlet out, and grasped onto the air. He thought carefully of where Liam is, and, with some force, he took a piece out of reality. On the other side of the tear, Liam was seen sitting on a rock, wondering how much time the others were taking. X stared back at his friends, and stepped aside.

"You all can go through first.", he said, "I'm gonna set this part of the building on fire."

Without further ado, Amber, Byrd, Setuh, and Saike jumped into the portal. X turned around with fire in his hands. He raised them in the air, and shot fire out in random directions. By the time he had finished, he hopped into the portal.
