It is a STYLE of fast temped lyrics and rhythm usually synonymous with Hip-Hop but can be applied to ANY genre. With that said metal is fine. It's largely just heavy bass guitar and drum set that drown out some fine singing. Heavy metal and metal are different, heavy metal is when people scream and metal is just when the instruments are loud. I don't like either but they have their fair share of songs.
