*Poor ol Mimi started to panic, fumbling to get his pepper spray out from his pocket as he tried to sneak closer and pepper spray the mfs*

*Athena was awake, looking at him with a tired smile* "Hey ^^"

“Hey, uh…what happened?” *He held the bar of the hospital bed, tapping his foot quickly*

"I went to the store to get ingredients because I was gonna make a dessert for you and Checkers, and that musty rat attacked me in the parking lot.."

*Speak of the devil and he shall appear, Checkers was let in the room. They winced at the sight of the injuries and closed the door*

“Damnnnn, dude that’s rough-“

*she smiled slightly, looking over at them* "Hey Checkers ^^"

“The hell happened, ya got jumped or sum’thin?”

"Yea I got attacked in an attempted kidnapping in the grocery store parking lot. Mimi actually saved my life-"

“Damn- nice job buddy.”

“Uh…ye-yeah. I still think I need more pepper spray now-“ *He looks down at it and ended up spraying himself AGAIN- oh my god- Mimi you gotta stop you’ve done this in like 5 different rp’s!* “ffffffFfFfFfFfFfFfffFfuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUuuuuUuUuUuUarr.” *He struggled not to yell the f bomb out of pain*

*she looked at him, worried*

"Mimi are you okay?!"

“Shut! Shut! My eyes! Shuuuushh!” *He yelled and covered his eyes, as Checkers pat his back*

*The guy had not yet noticed Mimi, still focused on Athena*

*In a quick rush of adrenaline, he jumped up and got the guy by his neck, and pulled him to his level. Mimi was 4’11, so that was probably uncomfortable- Anyway, poor Mf was then pepper sprayed straight in the eyes, and Mimi didn’t exactly stop pepper spraying him.*

*The guy screamed in pain, blinded by the pepper spray. He falls to the ground, vigorously rubbing his eyes. He's clearly distracted by his pain, what do you do next?*

“Eeeeeeeeeee!” *He shook his hands up and down as he was still panicking and tried to pick up Athena. Poor Mimi was weak asf, so this didn’t work, so he just decided to keep on pepper spraying the guy and calling 911*

*a few police cars and an ambulance showed up after like 5 minutes. the police arrested the guy and the paramedics lifted Athena in the ambulance, motioning for Mimi to get inside the ambulance as well*

*He gave the man one last round of pepper spray whispering “F**k you” under his breath, before sitting in the ambulance and crossing his legs and tapping his fingers on the seat beside him*

*The paramedics drove to the hospital, rushing Athena into a room to treat her, and they had Mimi wait in the waiting room*

*He decided to call his partner, and I love the banter between them so I have to I’m sorry lmao*

“Hey honey, uh…You remember Athena- ….Your name is Checkers you don’t have anywhere to talk about names. Anyway, she’s in the hospital at the moment. Uh…she got beat up. And I might need some more pepper spray.” *He decided to test it out without the knowledge it was pointed to him and sprayed it, covering their eyes and dropping it with a barely suppressed scream as he accidentally pepper sprayed himself*

*4 1/2 hours later, a nurse come to take Mimi to see Athena*

*His eyes were still red from his earlier dumbasery, but he could see mostly clearly now. He stood beside the bed and tapped his foot against the floor mumbling how “fine and dandy” everything is even thought it’s not*

*A nurse came in and washed out Mimi's eyes to help him*

*His eyes were still red of course, but he waved to them* “Uh…thanks?”

“Looks like y’all didn’t have a very awesome day-“

"No not really- -.-" *she started to look kinda tired and distressed*

David: *nearly turns pale* holy shit! *he tackles the assailant to the ground, making the attacker's head hit the floor quite hard*

*she moved closer to him, laying in his arms*

*he seemed so delicate like this, like a small animal*

*she gazed into his eyes lovingly, asking* "Are you okay sweetheart..?" *she gently wipes away his tears with her fingers*

David: *he shakes his head no slightly*

*she continues wiping the tears from his face, holding his face in her hands gently.

she's upset and panicked, but is trying to stay as calm as possible. her body and hands were shaking and panic would flicker across her gaze from time to time before quickly fading back to a calm expression*

*he is also shaking
she remembers David is very sensitive to stuff like this*

*she holds him closer, resting his head on her chest so he can hear her heartbeat.*

"David... listen to my heartbeat and match my breathing okay..?" *she did her best to keep her breaths slow, steady, and even*

*he matches with her breathing and slowly calms down*

*she smiles* "There we go... good job.." *she hugs him gently, nuzzling the top of his head*

*he smiles and falls asleep*

*she sobbed silently, holding onto his hands*

*he put his head on her shoulder and embraced her*

*she hugged him back, laying in his arms*

*he strokes her hair*

*she started to calm down a bit, holding tight to him*

*he looks relieved that you have calmed down a little*

*she reached over, giving him a short kiss on the lips*

*he smiles and returns the favor*

*she lays in his arms feeling peaceful*

*he feels quite peaceful as well*

*when he enters the room, she's sleeping*

*he sits on the floor, waiting for her to wake up*

*she starts to wake up, looking over at him*

"David...?"

David: hey... *he smiles slightly*

*she gets up carefully, going to hug him*

*he gets up and hugs her*

"I was so worried.."

David: well, I'm better now...

"I'm so glad..." *she held him close*

*once David went to sleep, she finally broke. her body was shaking vigorously, and she was sobbing silently so she wouldn't wake him*

*she blushes slightly, but still panicking. her heart was beating fast, and she continued to sob silently as her breathing picked up speed*

*he wakes up*
David: Athena! *he hugged onto her even harder* listen to my heartbeat and match my breathing okay..? *he seems to be trying the same technique*

*she tried, but she just couldn't seem to calm down*

David: oh crap... Um... *he kisses her and turns away*

*she blushes, surprised. the pure shock had managed to distract her and stop the panic attack*

David: oh no what she doesn't like me... What have I done...

*she looks at him for a sec before moving in closer to him and kissing him back*

David: *blushes heavily as well and smiles slightly* d-do you love me...?

*she nods*

"Yes.." *she kissed him again, holding the kiss*

*he held the kiss as well*

*she blushed, laying in his arms*

"You sure I can't do anything to help?"

David: *he coughs some more* ...call the doctors please. *his voice is very trembly*

*she dials the hospital phone, calling for help. a few nurses rush over to David*

*when they take him out of the room he has blood stained on his face*

"Oh my gosh David..." *she looked at him with great concern*

*he winces*

*she asked one of the nurses* "What happened?!"

Nurse: it seems his body couldn't handle some type of poison that was in his body well...

*After 4 1/2 hours, a nurse comes to get David and takes him back to see Athena*

*he walks solemnly to her room*

*When you arrive, you notice that Athena's awake. she looks over at David with a soft smile*

"Heyy-"

*he runs to her and hugs her and starts to cry harder*

*she hugs him back, resting her face in the top of his head as she rubbed his back gently*

"It's alright sweetheart.. I'm gonna be okay.."

David: i-i thought I w-was going to l-lose you...

(not yet but btw she can be a little oblivious to hints so its best for david to be straightforward)

*she smiled softly, nuzzling the top of his head* "I know, I know... It's gonna be ok sweetheart.. I'm gonna have to stay here to heal for the next two weeks or so- but they said I'll be okay.."

David: *continues sobbing*

*she smiles softly, scooting over and making room for him so he can lay next to her*

"Come lay next to me sweetheart.."

*he lays on the bed next to her*

*The guy screams in pain, a medium sized injury forming on the side of his head*

*he kicks the shit out of his [family jewels] and runs to Athena*

*the guy is now distracted by his pain. perfect time to get away.*

*Athena is injured with all sorts of bruises, cuts, and 7 knife stabs across her body. shes unconscious*

David: aw no, please... *he calls 911, obviously panicked, and describes the assailant*

*An ambulance and a few police cars arrive within like 5 minutes, placing Athena in the ambulance. A paramedic approaches David, asking* "Will you be riding along with her in the ambulance?"

David: yes... *he tugs his collar out of anxiety, worried she might die*

*They let David in the ambulance, and start the drive to the hospital. Her blood pressure is all over the place and the paramedics work to stabilize it*

*They stabilize her blood pressure and get to the hospital within 15 minutes. When they arrive, they put her on a gurney and wheel her back to a hospital room. They have David wait in the waiting room*

*David is less stressed but is crying into his hands*

"Poison?!" *she looked horrified and concerned for David*

Nurse: We think it might've been cyanide, but the symptoms came too slow.

"Oh my goodness.."

Nurse: he is currently in critical condition, so I have to go to him right now. *she leaves*

*she looked terrified, wondering if he'd be okay*

*a week passes*

*she got in the wheelchair and wheeled herself down to David's hospital room to go visit him*

*she entered his room and he wasn't doing very well*

*she looked worried, wheeling herself over to his bedside*

"Oh, David..."

*he slightly opens his eyes and moans*

*she sleeps peacefully, her hair flopping on her face*

*he kisses her forehead and falls asleep as well*

-when david wakes up, athena is already awake, staring off into space with a blank expression on her face*

David: hey Athena...

"Yeah..?" *she looked at him with a blank stare*

David: you good?

*she nodded silently, she seemed...off..*

David: are you sure?...

*She nodded, her hands started to shake*

*he rubs her hands*

*she smiled softly, holding him close as he slept*

*he slept peacefully*

*she smiled, falling asleep alongside him*

*a few hours go by and David wakes up abruptly and runs to the bathroom*

*she wakes up, confused as she watches him run to the bathroom*

*he throws up violently*

*she calls out to him* "David?! Are you okay?"

David: *he grunts* no...

*she calls out* "Do you need help?"

David: *he coughs extremely hard*
N-no... You stay there...

"Thank you for helping me.." *she snuggles up to him happily*

David: it's the least I could do for you...

*she rested her chin on his shoulder*

David: take your time...

"So how was the party?"

David: EVERYONE got drunk. It wasn't a pretty sight, to say the least. I even might've gotten a little drunk myself.

"Oh wow- How do you feel right now?"

David: not the best...

"You should rest.."

David: all right... *he closes his eyes and goes to sleep*

*she smiled slightly, letting him do it. she seemed to enjoy it*

*he continues to try and soothe her hands*
David: I've got to go in a bit, my friend is having a birthday party soon... But I'll comfort you as much as I can during the time we have.

*she nods* "Alright ^^ have fun dear"

*he leaves after 30 minutes or so*
David: I'll be back when the party is over, alright?

"Alright bye ^^"

*4 hours go by, they feel very long and it feels lonely for her*

*she begins to have a panic attack out of nowhere, she couldn't stop shaking and sobbing*

*he walks into the room 5 minutes later, slightly drunk*
David: Athena! *he runs to her side*

*she was terrified, her breathing picking up pace rapidly*

David: *holding her hand and squeezing it*

*he was too weak to smile*

*she rubbed his forehead, humming a soft tune to him*

*his eyes became more relaxed*

*she continued humming to him*

*he closes his eyes and falls asleep*

*she smiles, wheeling herself back to her own room and resting*

*another week passes and David healed enough to get up and walk around*

*she smiles with relief, glad that he's ok*

*David walks to her room*
