For some reason they still want to leave. Don't know how they're planning to do so, but I've heard that they want independence again.

If they do end up making a declaration of independence the world (except Russia and china) will see Texas as part of the US and will not care if the US needs to take the land by force (because US law states no state can leave the union, and this was made after the Civil War). The way I see it is let them leave the union and find out how much they need us to stay alive as a country.

If it somehow did leave the union, I think it would be a pretty successful country.

I mean, they were successful as a country in the past, so I think they would be able to govern themselves with little or no problem. They were independent for 10 years before they were annexed. Texas already has the 8th largest economy in the world, and they also have a large population. While they West probably wouldn't recognize it, I think it would be able to make a good and successful country. This is just my opinion on Texas as a nation.

I know they were successful, but as soon as they became independent from Mexico they said "YO AMERICA LEMME BE YOUR STATE" and got denied a couple times before getting accepted.

Nope. Theyd revert to being a fundamentalists Christian theocracy who's so provincial in their views that they'd tear each other apart. Also Texas is a mistake

When I become president

1. Weapons AND soldiers, as well as taking down any military bases
2. that's a fine and dandy dream but it isn't set in stone that you'll be president of the United States of America.
