I have a counterpoint for this
The Elder Wand WAS earned, because of a loophole in its writing. If the owner of the wand was either killed or defeated by an opponent (never specified that it had to be in battle, I do not believe), then ownership of the wand was transferred
One could argue that it wasn't ever Voldemort's because Nagini killed Snape instead of Voldemort himself, but I argue back that, as Nagini was a horcrux and by extension a part of Voldemort, this still counted as Voldemort killing Snape, making him the owner of the wand until Harry defeated him.

Nyeah, correct, but here's the thing: a horcrux is a separated piece of your soul, so therefore it's actually just under your control approx. 45% completely, which would still be counted as a minority as 45 is less than 55. So therefore Nagini offed Snape all on her own, just via the command of Voldemort.

True, but did grindlewald kill the wand maker or did he just take the wand, because he just took the wand the wand was still the wandmakers right? then voldemort killed the wand maker so then wouldn't it have been his when he killed the wand maker?
