I'm hyper fixated to Pokemon help

David was a well renowned Pokemon Champion. He was very powerful, was nice around others, and did everything to help others. His most notable partners were his Charizard, Flamey, and his Greninja, Kei. Ever since he was a kid, he aspired to be a great Pokemon Trainer. Now, he is practically unbeatable!

However, one day in Paldea (the region he lived in), there was trouble! A great storm came down upon the region and destroyed tons of the forests and towns. He had to help. He rushed to a village that was still standing and started evacuating people. While he was doing this he looked toward the ocean and saw a Kyogre. He realized if he doesn't do something soon, Paldea will be sucked underwater!

He rode on his Charizard to Kyogre, ready to fight. However someone was already there. He seemed to be a war veteran of some kind? The thing was, he was fighting with a SPRIGATITO, which is not a very powerful Pokemon. David rushed over.
David: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
???: I'm trying to stop Kyogre!
The thing is, it was slightly working. The Sprigatito, however didn't look like it could last much longer. David sent out his Rillaboom (which was sent to him by some relatives as a Grookey).
David: Rillaboom, use Wood Hammer!
Rillaboom started beating its drum and vines crawled out from the ground, hitting Kyogre over and over. The Kyogre got more fierce and wiped out Rillaboom.

David: OH NO!
He called back the Rillaboom and called out every other one of his Pokemon. None of them managed to take it down. The Sprigatito also fainted after awhile.
???: it's too strong!
David: we have to run!
They ran to a bunker located close and hid. David was hyperventilating and was panicked.
David: oh no what's going to happen?! All of Paldea will die and it will be my fault!
???: stay calm soldier. I have an ace up my sleeve.
The man went outside with a Master Ball in hand that contained a Keldeo. He sent it out and released all of his power on Kyogre, which made it faint.

The storm immediately stopped. David came out of the bunker.
David: ...you stopped it?
The man nodded. He introduced himself as John, a war veteran. David shook his hand.
David: nice to meet you. I'm assuming you know my name correct?
John: yes, I do. Who wouldnt?
They walked and talked as they went to their houses. As they reached their houses, a storm started up again, harsh but not as harsh. They decided to not bother since there was no point. Little did they know it would be their worst mistake...
